I always confuse myself when it comes to writing as I do with everything else. I complicate things. I see other’s blogs just as we all see those brilliant, simple ads and think that ‘shit I even I could have done that!’ but we didn’t, I didn’t. But now it becomes clear why these occurred in their minds… because its them. They didn’t stop them or alter them; they just let those ideas flow and rip! And that’s one thing I’ve always admired, the way an unrestricted mind works.
I tried my hand at blogs a couple of times earlier but failed miserably (let’s not get into those!). I didn’t know then why I wasn’t able to write anything which didn’t resonate with anyone, let alone myself, but now think…correction… I feel I know what is going to resonate with me.
I love stories you know? I love the way stories can take us through journeys; places and emotions he haven’t felt pop in front of us! There’s something truly magical about them. I mean if teleporting you to another galaxy far far away or to the street below you isn’t magic then I don’t know what is.
And another thing I love is telling stories; don’t get me wrong, I don’t mean the typical stories of ek thi rani ek tha raja, dono mar gaye…you know the rest. I mean the stories which are so simple in their appearance but are so profound underneath.
My father always told regarding words, you don’t have to use flowery language to get a beautiful idea across. Simple words but never comprehended them.
Now I am.
